Well I haven't posted in a while because, well because we've been super busy and then super tired. There's so much I want to say but then feel overwhelmed by the daunting thought of trying to type it all out on this ridiculous phone keyboard. So, here is a wordless quick post on the train ride from Brussels to Augsburg. It was an all day affair with I think 2 train changes. In some ways we were traveling with a little bit of history. For example, we were on one leg of the ride with all the rowdy English soccer fans who got off our train and later made international headlines for brawling with Russian fans in the streets. And there were other headlines that we managed to miss within moments of their happening. Lots of drama here, and amidst it all I've been obsessed with the election news. It's not in the mainstream press as you know, so I've been glued to Facebook whenever I can get an Internet connection.
I believe this is leaving Brussels in the early-ish morning:
Some well manicured German countryside:
A German train station on the way (I'll have to ask A where this was):
Oop! I left off a ton of pics from the train ride. Here are some more:
We saw at least 2 nuclear power plants on the way. The cooling steam can be seen for miles around:
UPDATE: these are coal plants, not nuclear. Apparently this is steam from burning and filtering the coal.

We drove to the coast and back in 5 days and arrived home only almost exhausted. We are in awe of dna. Adam looks like a gargoyle in front t of that old, beautiful gothic cathedral. He looks better in Augsburg.Relieved... Rest dead Deedee...and get right back to the blog and entertaining us! -- Aufvienerschnitzle!
