the intercity train - a few details

again with the spotlessness :) our train was a tad bit late but nothing drastic and A thinks they will make up for lost time along the way. it's raining again and a little chilly and the weather site claims there will be severe thunderstorms upon arrival in krakow. but in the meantime, this ride is comfortable and interesting. mostly we are going through rural areas with small towns along the way here and there, and forests, lots of greenery. the train itself is very well organized with a dining car and a video screen above the aisle that only gives info about the trains like sleeper car info or food info or how to best transport your pet. in the picture below you see a peg that pops out of the seat to hang your coat or bag. there are other pegs between the windows. every other window is designed to actually open! and they are very clean. in fact there are little trash receptacles at your feet and foot rests as well. the head rest has a little changeable cloth so it also feels clean to put your head back.

we're enroute and i will try to add to this as we go along on our way to krakow.

we just stopped at a larger town called Wrozclaw with a huge old station:

and a couple of random pictures of the approach to Wrocław:

i have no idea what that tower is:

or what that pipe is transporting but it went for a very long time:

these are what is called in the uk allotments. they're everywhere here because most people live in apartments and love to garden:
