Oops Ljubljana rewind

I thought I'd squeeze in a few more Ljubljana pictures of our morning before I move on to Zagreb just yet.  We spent it getting up early and packing then met up with our friend Ellen who I mentioned in a previous post.  We met her on the shuttle from the Venice airport.  She and her dog Bella, who she brought with her from Maine, gave us a fab tour of the sights starting with a really wonderful cafe that I forgot to take a photo of...but there's more.  Like this:

The little street her apartment is on complete with poetry festooned benches in many languages.

The stairs up to the castle.  And some views from the way up.

Note the formal garden in someone's yard in the pic above.

In this last one above you can see the white umbrellas we had eaten under at Paninoteka during the rainstorm the day before.

That's Ellen and Bella with A and N at the top of the restored castle.

This is kind of the entrance to a former prison now turned art performance punk scene called Metelkova.  The pictures of it online are better than anything I could have taken if you care to google it.

And here is some graffiti near the train station on our way to buy our tickets to Zagreb.  This is Nathanael's graffiti name for himself if he were going to tag but without the "e" he informs me.

Here's a last photo of Ljubljana I will leave you with of the castle from below and two out of three weary travelers who know not of the storm that lays ahead and that will delay their train ride to Zagreb for at least an hour on a platform laden with backpacking toting students.
